The Mission

The mission of the Finance and Investment Society ​is to support the development of future financial ​services professionals not only in their field but the ​University of North Florida and the Jacksonville ​community at large.

Through experiential learning experiences like ​keynote guest speakers, technical workshops, and ​office tours of firms, UNF students are preparing for ​their career paths in Financial Services. Our goal is to ​build the bridge between the Jacksonville business ​community and UNF students.

Financial Management ​Association Honor So​ciety Affilia​tion

FIS Members with a 3.5 GPA are ​automatically eligible to graduate with FMA ​Honor Society credentials

We require selective membership based on ​academic performance and club engagement.

Membership Requirements

• Must attend a MINIMUM of 5 events each ​semester.

• Dress code of Business Professional for all ​events
  

Mini Masterclasses

Technical Workshops on Excel financial ​modeling, Bloomberg certifications, and ​Series certification prep to develop skills ​that are beyond the classroom

UNF Finance and Investment Society is ​dedicated to crafting relevant and ​dynamic events for professional learning ​and networking.

Notable keynote speakers and office tour ​partners have been Merrill Lynch, J.P ​Morgan Private Bank, Dubin Clark, ​Federal Reserve, CSX, Dun & Bradstreet, ​FIS, Charles Schwab, and more!
